Southport Pier

We took L to the seaside today, sea being relative at Southport. L didn't believe us the sea stays right out, except sometimes in winter. We walked to the end of the pier and you could just make out the water.
The weather forecast was fog, but it was hot and sunny and clear enough to see Blackpool tower way across the bay.
