Tae Kwon Do
Today marks the 60th Anniversary of the inauguration of Tae Kwon Do. It was founded by Major General Choi Hong Hi in South Korea on the 11th April 1955. It came to Britain in 1967. I have been practising Tae Kwon Do since 2000, and really enjoy it, and this that it is a great Martial Art, and have found that it helps with co-ordination and balance. We have had a lot of students through the years that have suffered with various forms of Autism, and Tae Kwon Do has helped them immensely.
Our club held a free lesson today, for anybody that wanted to come along, whether they were a member of the club, or just interested in trying it, and this photo is of some of the students. (I have their permission). We had about 80 people turn up, which was excellent for the club.
