Pretty flowers pretty close-up

For all I know, these flowers growing on my backyard may or may not be crocuses.

What I do know is I never planted them so I was a bit surprised to find them under the currant bush today.

I'm sure they were there last year, too, and I'm sure I was equally surprised back then.
