Seaweed Lunch

As I wandered down to the harbour today I could see the swan family swimming across from the strand, quite a distance but they arrived very quickly and went to the place where a stream meets the sea. There was much washing, preening and drinking in the fresh water and feasting on seaweed. I found they had absorbed my attention for quite some time, they are so irresistible and the parents so caring!
I have been working a lot lately as my colleague has been away, so I'm looking forward to a day at home tomorrow and I have a trip away at the end of next week to look forward to, feeling ready for a break!
Rachel and I are watching Downton Abbey, the second series, full on drama, with the tissues close to hand, I shall hopefully visit some journals later.
