Chester 3 Dover Athletic 1

Good result today especially as Chester were trailing 1-0 at half time. The second half was an improvement and a fortuitous goal from Ollie McBurnie and a couple of fine finishes from Craig Hobson and John Rooney deservedly won the game. I was especially pleased for Hobbo who also won the man of the match award. I think it made a difference playing him alongside McBurnie in a 4-4-2 formation. In the past he has been isolated up front on his own. Only two games to go now.
