I Love This Time of Year

Two boy squirrels put on quite a show in the Winged Elm tree this morning. The elm is quickly putting out leaves and apparently the larger the leaf the less tasty it is to the squirrels. The youngest, tenderest and tastiest leaves are now coming out on the very ends of the elm's branches so that the squirrels must be a little more daring and adventuresome in their search for those tasty little greens. There might be one or two more days of photo ops before the squirrels make the determination that the leaves are 'past their prime'.
