Darwen Moor
I decided that this was the weekend for a proper trip out with the camera, tripod, filters etc, rather than a walk where the camera came too. Particularly as my new to me 70-200 F4L lens arrived this week! After the warm hazy sun and early mist of the last week, it was cold and windy - but the early sleet and hail cleared and we stayed dry. So we headed to Tockholes and up towards Darwen Moor. As I expected, 5 mins after the tripod came out John decided he was bored and took off for a longer walk up to Darwen Tower and then to Roddlesworth Reservoir. So we met in the café for lunch.
This shot was handheld and un-filtered, after I'd given up trying to keep the tripod steady in the wind!
