Straiton Pond

I discovered a walk/cycleway at the end of Station Road, Gilmerton. I had no idea where it went but I set off along it anyway. I ended up in Loanhead and realised I hadn't been there since I was about 16. That's a long time ago, lol!

The walkway continued on to Roslin but I didn't have time to carry on so I headed back towards home. I took a diversion off the main walkway on the way back and came across Straiton Pond. What a beautiful place.

Next time I'll take a drink and a snack and walk all the way to Roslin. This adventure wasn't bad though, a nice 7 mile walk in the spring weather :)
