An afternoon at the football.
Amazingly, a win was procured. Courtesy of the young Frenchman in the fluorescent green boots, Faissal el Bakhtoui. When he first arived at the club from PSG as a teenager, he had never played 11-a-side football on a grass pitch, only the indoor variant (Futsal, is it?) His control and trickery to get past an opponent were quite amazing, for a while. Luckily, we appear to have trained all that touch and skill out of him; he still remembers, from time to time, though.. Then he scores.
I was also thrashed by hailstones twice, today. First time was just before I went up to get a photograph taken for a bus-pass. I looked handsome and well-groomed, as you might imagine.
Then it was between the station and the football ground in Dunfermline.
As soon as I made shelter, on both occasions, the hail stopped and the sun came out.
Oh, well...
