MotoGP - wow!

Having spent 10 hours sitting beside one of the Ducati team mechanics from London to Austin along with about another 30 members of the team as well as members of other motorbike teams I could not have missed the fact that this weekend was the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin Texas.
Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
Son #3 got a great deal on line for last minute seats for today's qualifying with a wonderful view of this superb Circuit of the Americas - he had been to the last Formula 1 race and didn't need much persuasion to take his dad along.
One of my work colleagues talks endlessly about MotoGP racing so I felt I knew all about Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa etc - she will be so jealous! ( her husband races at Isle of Man)
Here is a picture of Marquez and Daviziosa battling it out for fastest qualifying- tomorrow's race will need to be a TV affair as no bargain tickets for the final - never mind I have now experienced the atmosphere , the noise and excitement and will be able to nod more knowledgeable when L talks about her heroes of MotoGP - definitely the big boys racing.
