The boat race

I took George to Specsavers so he could choose some new specs and then we had a picnic. Huge quantities of brie and grapes. We watched the women's boat race at my house over a pot of coffee and then on the spur of the moment, decided to try and see part of the men's for real! Headed down to the Thames but missed them passing under Hammersmith bridge by about a minute! Very sad. But still lovely to soak up the Londony/oxbridgey vibes. So many posh people! Took a walk down the Thames path past all the abandoned bottles of moet planning our spot for next year, and watched the sun set while eating cream eggs.
