Uncle Doug's Painting

Do you find that when you have things in the same place year after year you almost forget they are there?

This painting, by a sort of uncle I haven't seen in 25 or more years, for instance, I noticed today and can't recall the last time I looked at it. It hangs on a wall right outside my bedroom so I obviously pass it more than once a day.

I think I must just be sick of things the way they are, and I'm not just talking art on the wall !!!

Any hooo-I've always liked this pastel. I've never seen anything else by Uncle Doug but I do recall he was a nice man.....with a mean witchy wife!!
