Vandalised Graveyard

This is one of the biggest graveyards in the city, sited in a deprived area. This is the old section, stones like this are not to be found post 1950, in fact many don't even have stones, but wooden markers. But it is a shame that very few of the older gravestones are still standing. All the angels have had heads and mostly arms removed, crosses kicked over. It is a mark of the living, and a lack of respect for the dead. I drove around much of the site today. Its kept well enough by the council, grass trimmed, roads paved. But there is little in the way of flowers, bar the more recent burials.
