Magnolia

We arrived home safe and sound and after a surprisingly good night’s sleep we’re both awake by about 6:00 am. Not just awake but full of energy and the urge to do things. Our first port of call (before the unpacking and the sorting and the washing) is the garden. We’re both pleasantly surprised that we haven’t missed all the Spring flowers. We’ve got daffodils, tulips, primulas, auriculas and lots of signs of much more to come in the very near future. Out at the front of the house is our magnolia bush which has giant white flowers. This year it’s surpassed itself. It’s covered in spectacular blooms. This is one of the many buds. Looks like we’ll be enjoying the bush for a while yet.
