Lioness at the Water Hole

We've had two game drives now, at the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, in South Africa. Last night's drive was so amazing that I doubted that anything else could equal it; giraffes, elands, kudu, zebra, hippopotamus, white rhino and orix. So lucky!

But this morning we saw lions feeding on yesterday's kill and then this beautiful lioness drinking at a water hole. She's had some babies but nobody has seen them yet. We were told she'd been away for a couple of day's hunting and was on her way back to where she's hidden the cubs. 

We did see elephant in the far distance this morning; maybe we'll get to see them closer this evening.
