Roy noticed this gap where the capping stones should be when he went for his battle against the elements run this morning. It's the second gap to appear in as many days - the thieves are obviously on the lookout for building materials again. This happened quite a lot last year too - the stone is very expensive, and so near the road it is easy to load it into a van and move it on quickly. Last year's replacements round the reservoir have been cemented on, spoiling the look of the wall entirely ( but understandably ).
