Frogeye

Many thanks to my friend Phil for taking me to a couple of garden centres and a hostelry this morning. I was originally planning to post a photo from Ashwood Nurseries, but at the pub there was this rather fine Austin-Healey Sprite - the original 'Frogeye' version. A real collectors' item, but of course originally the lights were considered rather ugly, and quite a number of owners fitted different bonnets, in which the headlights were faired in. I have to admit none of the Sprites or Midgets appealed to me particularly - all about style rather than function. I did look at a Midget at one time, but had no difficulty deciding that a Mini Cooper (original version!) was much better in every respect, except perhaps cc.
