Deansgate
I don't often venture this far down Deansgate but we had a meal at Dimitri's with an old school friend, over from Germany for a conference. I only get to see her every couple of years I guess so we were chatting away merrily. I haven't been to Dimitri's for about 15 years and it has expanded quite a bit. Good to know that a long-standing restaurant like this is still going and thriving amongst all the designery concepty places that have opened over the last few years.
This is the old Great Northern Warehouse, formerly a goods store for one of the railways, long since closed. That's the Hilton Hotel in the background, tallest building in Manchester.
