Little Gems.
Pansies, lillies, kingcups, daisies,
Let them live upon their praises;
Long as there's a sun that sets,
Primroses will have their glory,
Long as there are violets,

Ranunculus ficaria aka Lesser Celandine
These little gems are growing in an empty pot I have and survive in just a fist sized lump of mud. Somehow they have found their way from a much larger clump at the other end of my garden.
They only open when the Sun is directly on them and it is then when they really shine. Normally they stand about 6” tall but to reach the Sun rays this little clump stand at least a foot high and only just poke their heads over the rim.
