Weeds out Rosemary and Petunias in!!!

At last I've dug out masses of couch grass and dandelions from the handkerchief that is laughingly called our front garden. The morning rain helped me loosen those endless, cunning roots! It is great to see that the lily of the valley plants are on their way through. It seems to be the only thing I can grow vigorously. Even the Rosemary and one Thyme plant were done for ... sadly ... and heaven only know what happened to all the snowdrops my parents sent through to me - in the post - about 20 years ago. I blame the slugs and my own incompetence/ignorance!!! So .. slug pellets or no slug pellets .... that is the question.
