Brymay matches - on the side of a building on Norwood High Street.

A quick internet search told me that the company - Bryant and May - was the one at the centre of the "Matchgirls strike" in East London in 1888. Women and girls at their factory went on strike to protest appalling working conditions including health problems from having to work with white phosphous. See here for more info.
