Lucky Jackdaw
I woke early conscious that I had to get back on the road to Norfolk, with lots to prepare for tomorrow for both Henry and I, plus shopping to do.
Car was all loaded up by 10 when I mentioned to Jon that I thought a bird was stuck in the chimney, based on the scratching I could hear. After a short while he released it - into the lounge, then through the hall it flew and into the kitchen! He managed to catch it before it did any damage.
I had an enjoyable drive up in the sun, accompanied by The Archers omnibus. I love that!! Arrived at 12 and after making a list we went to Morrisons. There isn't an Aldi close by, unfortunately.
So now, Henry is sleeping, with his alarm set for 6. He has showered and washed his hair, so I don't know what he plans to do in the morning - perhaps make me a cup of tea?
His bus goes at 7.25. I plan to leave once I know he is on it.
He is a bit nervous, I know. I suppose I am too - but excited too. Bags are all packed. Lunch made. Will we keep this up?
Bet I don't sleep....
