Landslide

The back road between Dunblane and Bridge of Allan has been subject to a number of landslides over the years and its now closed except for walkers and cyclists.

Many years go in my jogging days this used to be a favourite Sunday morning six mile run. But all that pounding on hard surfaces is no longer an option. So I confine myself to walking.

We have just seen the film Woman in Gold starring Helen Mirren in the true story of how a Jewish emigre managed to recover the painting of her aunt from Austria after it was looted by the Nazis. This was no ordinary painting but none other than the famous Klimt iconic painting of a Woman in Gold, Austria's answer to the Mona Lisa.
