Shooting the breeze

A brief visit to Headcorn Aerodrome gave me some much needed fresh air and sunshine and a chance to talk nonsense with aviation pals for a couple of hours today.

This R44 helicopter looked rather spectacular in the afternoon sunshine almost begging to be flown. The only aircraft flying when I arrived was the parachute plane as gusty winds made for less than ideal conditions.

I'm looking forward to flying later this week when I finally get airborne with my instructor friend for a refresh flight ahead of my licence renewal. I hope the weather is in my favour...
