Recovering Crepe Myrtle

In the areas where we've lived, it's traditional to drastically prune crepe myrtle bushes in January or February.  We are told new growth comes on pruned branches.  I pruned this crepe myrtle in January and the recovery is in full growth mode.  In another 6 - 8 weeks, they will be back to the size they were when I pruned them and ready for a blooming season with lovely white flowers on this one.  We have others that are purple, a beautiful crimson, and pink.
