Early morning light

A brilliant morning for photos  with crisp air and masses of cold new snow on the tops, really the first serious snow of the season.  However I ended up putting this up not the snow.  
Had a good image of frost and ice texture  -  at Camera Club tonight, the judge did not accept most of the members examples of texture. Often if they had any pattern or form then that was not allowed to compete with the texture and was not accepted.   He was also very inconsistent.
We all ended up laughing it was so bad. 
On the plus side I got an honours for my necking Grebes.
