The view from mum's window.

Through to Edinburgh today for shopping and lunch with mum. She has lived in the same area of South West Edinburgh nearly all her days and knows it like the back of her hand. I spent some of my growing up years here too of course. Now mum lives in sheltered housing and this is the view from her sitting room window. The gardens, having frankly got a bit out of control for a few years, have been taken in hand by a good squad of gardeners and many of the residents look after a patch too. In the distance are the Pentland Hills which lie to the south of the city.
