knife sharpener...

I had meant to get one of these for a while but the other week a kind friend gave me this one! 
now, two things...
...what did I say I would do as soon as I sharpened my knife?
...and what did I do as soon as I sharpened my knife?

anyway, the queasiness has gone now, and the bleeding has stopped -
I cut the top of my thumb! :|
but my broccoli was unspoiled, so all was well in the end!
