Sidalcea

Better gardening weather today. Went out after lunch and started digging a cutting/red border in the back garden. CH marked it out yesterday and I hope to do a little digging every day until it's complete. I did some weeding after that, dug up some astilbe which is in the wrong place, and re positioned some campanula Loddon Anna to make a lovely drift in the pink border. The astilbe will be going in the dell. I planted some of it and should finish it tomorrow. The rush is on to get plants in situ. I spotted this sidalcea flowering. It's early because it was one if three seedlings rescued from the front border last year and has over wintered in the greenhouse, although it's been hardening off for some weeks now. I hope it will still flower in June as usual.
