Spring Hares

I spotted this pair of Brown Hares in the recently-cultivated field beside the 'Lonesome' Scots Pine in Blairdaff at around 7:30 this morning.

Hares have always been plentiful in the fields at the foot of the Lord's Throat Road in the 13 or so years we've been living here.

I'm not particularly well equipped for 'wildlife photography' I'm afraid - this is just a 'passing shot' with the 70mm lens that was on my Pentax K-3 at the time - so don't expect a wonderful close-up of the hares through enlarging this view...
