Out of nowhere

Snake's head fritillary - literally, there would be no sign at all and then suddenly, up they pop!  I planted a few around 5 years ago and they've spread, now they're popping up all over the place, such mysterious plants!

As for another popper upper - he does appear, Louie Robin and then he disappears again - I got one rather blurred shot of him and thought it wasn't good enough!  I went and photographed some flowers at the end of the drive and he appeared by my shoulder on a branch and perched, preened and then flew up into the air to catch flies - I think he was just showing off!  Just like his dad! :) xxx
