First and last try, Swalec cup semi final
Had a great day today at Cardiff Arms Park. I was lucky enough to be able to photograph the semi final between Crosskeys and Pontypridd.
It was the first time i have been there since they laid their artificial pitch. The grass is like a load of old christmas trees and in the sun it smells like a tyre factory, but apparently its nice to play on.
Anyway, what a game to watch. Crosskeys struck early on with a well worked try from Scott Matthews and it was nip and tuck all the way. Ponty certainly seemed to be mostly in control of the match but even after the last try of the match by Lloyd Williams there was still a chance in the last minutes for a try and a conversion by keys to clinch it, but that didn't happen.
Final score Crosskeys 21 Pontypridd 27
