On Friday I went on a school trip to DC to go sightseeing and to visit the Botanical Gardens. About 50 juniors went on this trip. It was very fun, but it required a lot of walking. When we got to the gardens I noticed that it was right next to the capital, it didn’t look nice though since there was remodeling being done.  In the gardens there was an amazing fountain with flowers surrounding it, and then we found a map that showed us to all of the different rooms.  Our first room was the rain forest and it was lovely in there. Although, it was extremely humid and everyone’s hair went wild, except for mine since it is naturally wild. There were two floors to the rainforest since most of the trees/leaves were gigantic.  All of the other rooms were bland and boring except for the orchid room. The orchid room was so amazing, and I took many more pictures than the two I am showing. It amazes me how they were able to raise so many orchids since they are so difficult to maintain. I would go back to the gardens in the summer so I could see the outdoor exhibit, but the indoor exhibit was kind of bland, but overall it was very nice.
