Lathyrus Odoratus

Pheasant plucker

Early this morning I came across this beautiful cock pheasant that had impaled itself on a barbed wire fence through both wings. I thought it was dead but when I looked at its head it opened one eye. After a bit of a struggle I managed to unpin its wings from the wire and when I prized the strands of wire apart it jumped free and flew off clucking furiously. The spaniel was not impressed.
