A rare sight

Between home and the ferry terminal at Lochmaddy at about 6:30 am the car decided to die having behaved impeccably since we purchased it.
It must have a sense of humour as when, after all the thoughts of how we were going to find a signal to phone the AA, realising that nothing was going to get fixed until Monday and the fact we were going to have to change ferry tickets again, I tried once more it started straight away and did not cause a problem for the rest of the day. Ho-ho car.
That rest of the day consisted of driving south, picking up DS#1 at Carlisle station and then carrying on to my mother's in Cheltenham. Amazingly there DS#1 decided to play the polite grandchild and was even seen to wash up without being asked - certainly something worthy of a photo.
