Ardeche rather than Amsterdam

Tulips always remind me of a dreadful long joke garnered from a rag mag many years ago that ends with the punch line "I thought you got tulips from hamster jam." I will let you work out the rest of the gag.
These however were a splash of colour in our garden that welcomed us to the house. 1500 miles between houses, it was good to arrive this evening. The house itself was in a good state.
Each year it gets easier and easier to open up. Hot water is the thing that takes the time.....
