A hybrid I wish I'd raised!

What a horrendous day today - rain from start to finish and cloud down to the ground. Had to pop into Oban this afternoon and the roads were full of huge puddles - ugh!

I took several pictures today but few were any good - I find it hard to concentrate when I'm being rained on! So here's a picture of one of our several Rhododendron 'Shilsonii', a beautiful hybrid between two beautiful species, Rh. thomsonii and Rh. barbatum, both with red flowers and coloured bark. The result is a gem.
