Weird Exhibition

At our Marylebone campus we have a huge subterranean exhibition space known as Ambika P3 (which incidentally used to be the construction hall where large scale structural testing was done). At the moment it is hosting an exhibition called 'Potential Architecture' and l thought I'd give it a quick look at lunchtime today. I have to admit l didn't understand any of it!

Included was this large exhibit which consisted of wooden door frames suspended from the ceiling with mirrors on the walls. It's by the architect, Sean Griffiths.

According to this article

"Griffiths has built a labyrinthine corridor out of suspended door frames, “taking very familiar things and making them a little strange when they are hung off the floor and look as if they have committed mass suicide. I want to bring out hidden meanings in things which seem innocent such as endless oppressive corridors"

Yeah, right.
