To work a different route this morning, and another quick blip on the way.

This facility in Irlam is the only joint fire, police and ambulance station in Greater Manchester, and it prides itself on its community links. I like the treatment of the doors, behind which lurk fire engines (and an ambulance ?).

I heard later about the big fire in the early hours of the morning at the former Mr Smith's nightclub in Warrington. GM fire units assisted - as this is the nearest station to Warrington, a direct route straight along the A57, the team here may well have been involved.
