Union Canal, Edinburgh
Couldn't face another night in front of the box so, being the pro-active individual, I hitched a ride to the other side of town with fly rod (and camera) in hand.
This is such a magnetic place to go and walk through the city. Must see how far I can get one day!
This shot is taken during, what anglers refer to as, the golden hour. As it got towards sunset there were indeed plenty of distrubances on the clam, still water but only large sholes of little roach. Despite the signs being good, there were no takers on the trout front. Good practice with the new rod anyway. It really is an art.
All-in-all though, better than telly!
