Flying north
This should be viewed large to see the V-shaped skein of 70 or so pink-footed geese. This was one of several flocks I saw this day three weeks ago as they flew north over Arnside, perhaps heading from somewhere like the Ribble estuary and bound for Iceland, Spitsbergen or possibly even Greenland where they will breed. They will doubtless stop off en route before making the final ocean crossing.
It was the experiences of this day - such as the goose flocks and the flowering daffodils at Far Arnside, that convinced me that I need to keep blipping. Some experiences simply must be shared, and Blipfoto remains the ideal platform for that. Joe Tree may have lost ownership of his creation, but so far it lives on with its community more or less intact, and that should make him feel rightly proud.
