"Love Is Like A Butterfly ....
.... a rare and gentle thing."
Beautiful day today. My linnets were in full song this morning and the Nightingales Of The North, the blackcaps, have arrived. I'm going to struggle to get a decent pic of either but I'll enjoy trying.
My dog and I spent some time this afternoon in an area that I call Butterfly Alley. It catches the sun and is protected by a hedge on one side and a block of glasshouses on the other. We saw brimstones, small tortoiseshells, peacocks and my first orange tip and speckled wood of the season.
My speckled wood is feeding on blackthorn, as the season progresses it will go for honeydew instead.
Been singing the song of my title to myself and thinking of that bittersweet series with Wendy Craig.
