Climbing Obstacles
Having experienced great relief from banging my head against a brick wall two weeks ago by retiring from work, I had a little brush with the frustrations of the "real" world once again this morning. The solicitors who hold Dad's Will keep coming up with more and more hoops for us to jump through in order to have the Will released to us. The latest is that my Mum has to provide two forms of ID, even though they hold her own Will in the same file with Dad's. It is a mirror Will and was made at exactly the same time as Dad's. I still can't decide if the secretary who answered the phone today was being deliberately obstructive or whether she was was just a bit dim. I had to repeat myself three times before getting anywhere. And all I was trying to do was make an appointment to bring in all the required ID's for them to see! I don't believe she was actually listening to a single word I said. I did eventually manage to clamber over all the obstacles she threw in my way, but it was hard work. Harrumph.
After all that irritation, Mum and I decided to go out for lunch and then have a wander around a nearby garden centre. We were looking at different types of climbing roses, as Mum wants to plant one with red blooms in a particular spot in the garden to remember Dad by. We didn't find anything we liked, but there were a lot of ooh's and aah's from both Mum and me when we set eyes on this stunning climber - Clematis 'Early Sensation'.
