Not your average Afternoon Tea

Started the day with a trip to Harrods. Watched in amazement a woman buying a box of chocolates in the Food Hall for a mere £159!

Then as a long planned treat for ourselves we headed to Claridges for Afternoon Tea. The setting was beautiful with a pianist and cellist playing in the background. The service was excellent and everything was served on green and white striped china. The sandwiches were delicious, the scones superb and the pastries were divine. Need I say more!

After a bit more retail therapy in Selfridges we walked back to Covent Garden where we are staying. Now chilling out with feet up and looking forward to the forecast 25° tomorrow.
