Reflection

Talking with a friend from long ago is a wonderful gift.
It's a little like rereading a book and discovering the differences because I am at a different point in my life. Only with a friend, we are both at different points. We have years of separate memories that have shaped the people we are today.
I have never wanted to look back in life as it seemed so much "wiser" to keep my focus on the future.
I realize now that I was avoiding looking at myself.
