Little gem in Parakai

This is our find of the trip - we got a voucher from Groupon that offered discounted entry to some thermal pools 'up norf' so it kind of shaped our journey plan.

When we arrived, reception was in bits and it looked a bit run down but we had been in the car a few hours and it was a welcome break. There were just a few people in there.

Got our swimmers out of the car and the heavens opened - it was warm though so we got changed and enjoyed what was on offer. The weather soon blew over.

Pool 1-28oC, pool 2 - 36oC, pool 3 - 41oC - bliss.

It's in the middle of what looks like a refurb and I hope that when it it finished it is busy and really popular, but today we enjoyed a little bit of paradise that others might overlook
