Rubber-necked Statuary

This blue heron sculpture ended with a neck just
a tad too long.....It looked fine to me in its making,
but now the neck looks stretched.  This was fired
at cone 9 with an iron oxide finish applied at bisque
ware stage.  Its leg is rebar and it stands by my
pond winter and summer.  It has become a fixture!
