Tree Fungus

I spotted these fungus on a tree on a prominent shoulder, last autumn. Today, Piper and I headed back up there for the first time since the snow began to clear and they were still there but had undergone some changes. Last autumn they wre a rich, nutty brown colour but today they were stark white, perhaps having dried out in the winter chill.
