Lone poppy

There is one single poppy at the entrance to the woodland - striking in its contrast to the rich green undergrowth which surrounds it.

I braved the drizzle for a short walk this lunchtime. Lots and lots of birdsong and quite a few assorted bugs. No sun so no chance of butterflies. But the bunnies were around - and the squirrels were in playful mood, knocking leaves down as they scuttled across the branches.
