Testing

In between a few chores I popped out for some new socks plus a birthday card and some spinach (as you do)  and on the way back saw two handsome pairs of eider ducks powering down the Water of Leith. First time this year I've seen them so far up the way - I guess they were prospecting for possible nest sites. I had the camera out and just got them in focus as they headed under the bridge at which point they all suddenly dived and I was left with a couple of patches of bubbles. But instead of blipping that I've gone for my test shot - an image taken throught the just-cleaned kitchen window, to check if I'd left any smeary places. What a lovely day!
